Great Product
Date:
I bought these boots for snowmobiling and they work great! The pads in the front help with branches and ice and the inserts are very warm even for Wyoming winds and snow. ighly recommended!

Almost Perfect
Date:
A Great boot. Tough, Warm, and great for snowmobiling.
Be sure to try them on though. I am a 9.5 and had to buy an 11.
Wife is a 6 and she fit a 7.
As the other reviewer said, if you have thick legs, they are going to feel snug on top. Mine were ok, my wives pair have her wondering if she can fit a pair of wool socks and long johns inside (she will wear hers over the big storm this weekend). I'll post a review on hers once she gets some time in them.
Two reasons this boot is not a 5.
1. No Gaiter loop. While you can seal the top with the cinch strap, I would like to see a Gaiter loop for the bottom to insure my snow pants and/or bibs don't ride up.
2.The cinch loop is in the front, which digs your shin when you are resting your boot/shin on your snowmobile seat while riding. Since there is no gaiter loop, you rely on the top closure to keep snow out of your boot, so you can not go without it. Would be better if it was outside portion of the boot.

Alpha Tracs lead the "Pac"
Date:
I bought a pair of Sorel Alpha Trac Buckle Pac Boots for medium-to-active level use... shoveling, working outside, garage, etc. and they are so comfortable and much lighter than the usual -100 boot I wear that I can recommend them to anyone. The buckles also make it quick to get in and out of them, which beats the old lace style hands down. The only negative I could see anyone complain about is that they are taller than your average pac boot, so if you aren't used to that it may be uncomfortable if you have very thick calves. For me, the height is fantastic because it keeps the snow out and more body heat in. My favorite feature of these boots is that the wool liner not only pulls out, but there are reinforced "handle" holes built in the backs of them that make them easier to pull out, and BONUS: you can then hang them up by these holes to dry them out. These are definitely worth a look.
