Cabela's Scent-Free Snake Boot

  • Lightweight, flexible rubber boot protection
  • Snake Guard lining protects you from fang punctures
  • 16" height
By incorporating the latest technologically advanced materials and improved designs, we now offer a snakeproof rubber boot that’s much lighter (up to 1-1/2 lbs. per pair lighter) and more flexible than ever before. Our new Snake Guard™ lining promotes the lightweight flexibility you need for added comfort while preventing punctures from the fangs of venomous snakes like a steel barrier. From diamondbacks to cottonmouths, the boots held up to everything we could throw at them. In fact, here’s a quote from one of our field test reports. "The tests were done from all different angles as many times as I could get the snakes to keep striking. Not only was there no penetration, but due to the rubber exterior, the snake’s fangs didn’t get hung up on the outside of the boot." Best of all, we did this without increasing the price a single penny.

tried them all
Date:
I have been buying these boots now for about 10 or 12 years at least and I have not found one other brand of boot that held up to green briars, sticks, blackberries and barb wire like these.Thank God I do not have any experience with snakes while wearing them but am beyond confident that they will turn any snakes fangs here on the East Coast They are a great early season bow hunting boot..I wear them about 80 90 days a year thru anything and they LAST! Takes a little walking in them to get used to them but are well worth it.Highly reccomend them for toughness and piece of mind.

These boots are over size.I put 2 sets of foot pads in the bottom and they were still to big. also they had large dark brown spots that ruined the camoflage. I sent them back.

Most comfortable rubber boots I have ever worn
Date:
I was going to rate these boots a "5" because they are the most comfortable boots that I have ever worn. They are light, easy to walk in, work well climbing into a tree stand and were priced right. I purchased mine a ½ size bigger then my shoe size so that I could wear an extra pair of socks in them.
However those comments all reflect my experience with them during the past fall and winter hunting season. I recently wore them on a warm rainy day to do some stalking while taking wildlife photos. I only had one pair of socks on and found that the top of the boots keep hitting the back of my ankles and made a lot of noise no matter how careful I tried to be. I had to stuff some cushion material in the tops to prevent this. Thus I question had effective they would be for early season stalking of game when the weather is warm.
Besides that they are great and I would not hesitate to buy another pair, if I ever need them.
