These classic oxfords are ideal at the office and for any weekend trip. World-class Meindl construction gives them the ultimate performance, comfort and durability of the top-selling “Perfekt” series. Cushioned cork footbeds support the entire foot – not just the arch – promoting foot health and eliminating fatigue. Shock-absorbing EVA midsoles add another layer of cushioning. Trusted GORE-TEX® membranes deliver guaranteed waterproof, breathable protection. Refined full-grain leather uppers match with chinos, khakis or jeans. Yep, the price is high, and I wouldn't have bought them unless I had club "points" to use.
I ordered one size down (normally order 11.5 EE and this time 10.5 EE) and they fit great right out of the box.
I wore them for four days straight, on my feet all day long, and they just got more comfortable each day.
I really like them.

These are some of the finest shoes I have ever worn. The comfort level is superior to anything I have ever worn. I am on my feet all day long selling cars. The support is superior to any thing else. Thank you for there creation.

Meindl Oxford - A OK

Meindl Oxford is very comfortable when slipping on. I just got them today and am wearing them around the house, but I expect great things out of these. I have a pair of Meindl Perfekt Hikers I use for hunting and these are every bit the quality craftsmanship you would expect.
I dealt with plantar faciitis last year so am hyper sensitive to shoes that do not offer adequate support. These seem to be proper walking shoes with flex at the forefoot (toes) but fairly rigid outsole through arch and back to the heel. I expect these will support my feet well. With the Meindl removable cork footbeds it is easy to replace with your own orthotics if desired.
I usually wear a 14D. I ordered 13D and they fit fine. Just like my Meindl boots, there is lots of room for thick socks. I actually had to cut a piece of cardboard to fit under the insoles to take up some of the interior space. You can do that or use thicker socks. This is not meant to be off-putting - they are still extremely comfortable - just trying to alert you that there is plenty of room in the shoe.
They are a handsome shoe to boot. Plenty of visual appeal around the outside of the shoe. These look equally good with blue jeans or chinos. I look forward to putting some miles on them.

Awesome Shoes

I bought these shoes for a vacation trip. When I received them I tried them on and they fit perfect and did not need any break-in. We just finished the vacation. These shoes have gone from Bangor Maine to Boston, Mass. They have hiked many trails, climbed many a rocky seashore, and logged many miles on tourist sidewalks, in airports and in fine restaurants. This is a great all around shoe. Rugged and manly, yet classy. I too ordered one size smaller. I may buy another pair for the years to come, but I cannot find any wear on these after a week of serious use. Great job Cabellas!
