Cabela's Royal Elk Venetian Slippers

If there was a material made for use in slippers, it’s elk hide. This prized leather combines the lightweight, supple feel of buckskin with the long-wearing durability of cowhide. Plush shearling linings along with extra cushioning in the footbeds cradle your feet in unmistakable comfort. The TPR outsoles give them the added versatility needed for wear indoors or by the campfire. Imported.

Holy Smokes! I wanted a genuinely warm, cushy, luxurious pair of slippers, and I got 'em. These are incredibly comfortable, warm as all get out, and have a really nice, durable sole to boot. The fit was just right based on my shoe size. Construction is excellent, materials top notch; everything they say it is plus some. If pampering yourself is what you're after, you'll not be disappointed.

These moc' s are terrible!!!!!!!!!!!

I live in Maine and wear my moc's year round, in and outside as well as my woodworking shop so they get lot's of wear and abuse. I generally buy 2 pair a year because of the wear for many years and this new design didn't hold up beyond 3 months!!!!!!!!!! What a waste of money! I'm not just dissatisfied but I'll never buy moc's here again. I also own a pair of water resistant boat moc's I could use, but the soles are to slippery for winter wear. Sorry Cabella...you lost a long time customer with this junk. I know other gave rave reviews on these...but these might not be a northern moc for everyday wear in Maine. The overlapping sole on the leather became unglued allowing for my smaller toe to be exposed to the snow. I thought maybe this was an improved design, but I learned the hard way and caution others to give serious thought before wasting good money on these.

Excellent Slippers

I waited a couple of months before writing this review because I noticed a lot of reviews were written right after the buyer got the product. I wanted a little time to go by to make it as objective as possible.
These are great slippers. I had previously owned a pair of fully lined shearling slippers and did NOT like them because the lining compressed, matted and became very uncomfortable. These slipper are shearling lined on the top and sides (making them very warm) with a removable insole that is very comfortable. The sole is rugged enough to walk out to my porch or garage and can easily be wiped off if I get water or dirt on them. The stiching is solid and does not cut into my foot at any point.
They are very easy to slip on and stay on my foot very well. However, as many of the commentors on other slipper reviews state, these slippers too are a little oversized. I ordered smaller than my normal shoe size and can wear them comfortably without socks but can still wear socks if I want to for additional warmth. I would highly recommend these for camp or around the house.

Most comfortable slippers ever

I received these slippers as a Christmas gift from my Cabela's Wish List. They are simply the most comfortable footwear I have ever worn. The soles are also very quiet when I walk across our hardwood floors. I would recommend these to anyone who wants a warm, comfortable slipper.
