The outer layer of the high model’s uppers are waterproof pigskin leather to make them durable and easy to care for. The uppers are further protected by a 360° mud and slush guard built of abrasion-resistant rubberized material. The insides are fully lined with plush shearling sheepskin for incredible natural insulation when it’s cold and superb moisture-management when temperatures warm. Compression-molded EVA midsoles are the same type used in high-performance athletic and hiking footwear. They provide a stable, cushioned platform for your feet. Underneath are nonmarking rubber outsoles with a self-cleaning tread pattern that affords excellent traction. Imported. Average weight: 3.5 lbs./pair. Men’s whole sizes: 8-13 medium width.
Color: Hickory.
I was anxious to use these once I moved to Alaska so I could slip something on quickly to go out in the snow. I was disappointed. I wear size 11 and it was a little too short and curved at the end so the tip of my toe nail was consistently being hammered. They are wide. But I have a narrow foot so I didn't expect a good fit with width. They do look nice however.
I would have tried another size but I can't afford to keep paying the shipping costs to Alaska.

After reading all the reviews, I decided to order the next larger size, as everyone suggested. I wear a 10.5 medium. The pair that arrived were HUGE! A good inch longer than my foot and wide- not snug at all. So I decided to order a 10; as feared, they were a wee bit short and still not all that snug, so that was a disappointment. Evidently sizing is all over the place. That is the only negative. I will be sending the size 11's to my son. He wears 11's and has a wide foot. The smaller pair is loosening up in the toe with more walking, as I figured it would. I will be looking for a pair of sheepskin insoles as the insole that comes with it lost half of its fuzz within a few days of wear. That might make them more snug. I wore these when I got stuck with the truck and had to walk 3 miles in snow to get home, and they kept me very warm and dry, and were comfortable walking in as well. I wore them barefoot today while taking the dog for a two mile hike, and they got a bit warm (warm day) but found them to have no less grip on snow and ice than pack boots. I love them and if my son doesn't, I will be getting those 11's back to wear with socks for elk hunting next year, for around camp and/or for a long morning's sit on the meadows.
This is a good slipper, but does not have the fit or support of a boot or a shoe. This is a comfortable slipper and appears to be made of quality materials and workmanship.
Sizing: I wear a 10 1/2 shoe and ordered an eleven due to whole size only sizing. This slipper was true to size, but was very wide and offered no support. This is great to use as a slip-on, but I felt it would pull right off if I stepped into the snow. I returned this product for this reason.
I would not order this product if I expected to have a functional outdoor boot. This is a loose fitting comfortable slipper, but does not fill the bill for outdoor activities other than a normal slipper. It appears that it would definately keep your foot dry, but does not fit tight enough for me to recommend for outdoor use such as chopping wood or taking a walk.
Lake Tahoe winters can be devastating to the under-prepared. I caught a sale at the local Cabela's store in 2010 and snatched these boots up without haste. Like you, I read the reviews online before purchasing. The quality and durability of the boot sold me.
Pros: Warm, wool batting lining the full interior of the boot. Leather exterior blends well with other clothing, such as jeans, khakis, and snow pants. Reflective, three-sided lining makes it easy to find boots in the dark with minimal light. Rubber tread works on most surfaces, except black ice, and some deep ice patches. Calf-sinch secures boot to most any clothing surface.
Cons: Little to no support for the feet. Think large slipper. Foot bed wool batting flattened within about 2 days. (I'm 150 lbs [68 kg]) Rubber tread pattern slips unless even pressure is applied when walking on packed snow, ice, and other visibly slippery surfaces. Foot strap is simply for looks. No functionality at all. Pretty roomy; secure fit required three to four layers of wool socks.
Overall:
Works great for snow removal and minor outside chores, such as taking the dog out, grabbing wood for the fire, or jumping in the hot tub. Wool batting keeps feet warm, especially when barefoot. Minor issues with waterproofing, but nothing substantial. I wore them daily from November 2010 to May 2011 and they still look brand new.
