Well worthe the money, no more riding long johns. Keep you very warm, do get you sweating a touch and seem to trap a little moisture.

not for cold weather!
Date:
I just purchased my first ever pair of Underarmor based on a lot of recommendations. I have always used just the cheaper older style long underwear or when it gets really cold the Cabelas expedition weight. I was really disappointed in these. On Underarmor website these are advertised as way warmer than the "old style long underwear". I went out for a walk with my dog this morning. It was 18 degrees. I have been using the old style long underwear but decided to try the UA.
Wow, what I difference! I about froze. My legs were cold to the touch after only a brisk 15 minute walk. I would either suggest buying the "old style" or bump up for to 3.0 or 4.0.

too warm for much hiking
Date:
I wore these bottoms on an Alaskan moose hunt in Sept 2009 and they were almost too warm with the Berber fleece pants over top.Would be a better option for cooler weather or less hiking.
