Great all around boot

I purchased these boots only a few days before a big hunting trip. I have owned several Danner boots and have always enjoyed the quality and short break in period. I was able to get the boots broke in 'enough' in the few days before my hunt and then it was off to the races chasing deer up and down hills. Each day I walked any where from 4-9 miles depending on the area I hunted. I can say very confidently that these boots are amazing and extremely comfortable.
Since the deer hunt, I wear them every weekend for upland bird hunting and working outside. They are great! I plan on giving them the comfort test again this spring while walleye fishing on the rocks. That will be a good test on the comfort after standing on rocks for multiple hours.
Reason why I did not give these boots 5 stars is that there is room for improvement on the rubber guard stitching, starting to wear out already. I have not had any lace issues like listed by other reviews.
Overall, great buy and you will not be disappointed.

Great Boots

I recently purchased my second pair of Danner Talus boots. I bought the first pair several years ago because I good hiking boots as a fly fishing guide in Jackson Hole Wyoming. I wore them almost constantly and they lasted well for several years. They kept the water out and the stiffness made it easier to hike the rocks and canyons. This second pair is just as good as the first. . These are the best shoes I have ever had. It would be nice if Danner would make a dress version of the talus appropriate for church.

awesome boots

never owned danners, until now. these have to be the best boots I ever owned. Comes with 2 sets shoestrings, have worn them everywhere. thought the price was high when I bought them, worth every penny

Have had these boots for 4 months and they are still extremely stiff. They are very difficult to lace and keep laced tight. I like the fact that they have a scuff guard which I think will hold up to rugged use which is why I bought them. The laces are already beat up and look like they will need replacement sooner than most boots. They will also stain the top of your socks with a nice red stain from the uppers of the boots. I bought them because of the Danner name but will not buy another because of these.
