I bought mine 15 years ago and they have been used to the extreme in elk/deer hunting and countless hikes! Great investment! When it comes to your feet, don't skimp and buy something cheap. I bought a cheaper pair of similar (non-Danner) boots last year and it almost ruined my elk hunt with heavy blistering! I am going to throw the cheap pair away although they are like new and have my Danner Explorers either refurbished by Danner, or buy another pair through Cabela's which offers the best price I could find.

Best Boots I Own

I purchased these boots on a whim and it has turned out to be one of the best choices in shoe selection that I've ever made. My hikers are now three years old and holding up perfectly. I do recommend using danner's boot dressing to keep the leather looking new and feeling soft. I own three pair of danner boots and these are the ones that I use most often.
