Developed over a half century on the harshest trails and highest peaks, these hikers combine authentic European craftsmanship with the latest high-performance comfort technology. The Internal Midsole system eliminates rigid footbeds and puts feet directly in contact with the molded insoles, which offer a more secure fit that stops feet from slipping inside the boots. Its triple-layer AIR 8000® system is made with an exclusive microperforated fabric that’s 11% more breathable than conventional mesh. Rugged suede uppers are lined with waterproof, breathable GORE-TEX® XCR membranes for all-weather endurance. Shock-absorbing dual-density midsoles. Aggressive Vibram® Plume hiking outsoles for all-terrain traction. Imported. Men’s sizes: 8-14 D width. Half sizes to 12. Color: Brown.
For me, European made hiking boots are the ROLLS ROYCE. These boots live up to those expectations. There are light, but robust and offer great support for the ankle. They fit perfectly and need minimal breaking in. You can carry moderate loads and hike in comfort all day with the breathable and waterproof Gortex lining. A fantastic boot for the money. I cant say enough good things about them. By the way, I wear mine constantly. These boots are my first choice for any outdoor adventures.
These boots took me 3-5 miles of moderate hiking to break them in. small stones would make it in the boot. If you hike in shorts I would wear a pair of gaitors. The boots are not high enough to keep debris out.
They are comfy, rugged, true to fit and good looking. Good boot at best.
Best use of these boots, would be everyday wear, not hiking. Just my 2 cents. Peace.
for me boots seemed to run big i wear an 11 shoe/sneaker. i ordered an 11 but my feet were swimming. exchanged for 10.5 they feel great very comfortable have just been wearing them around the house and increasing the time wearing. nice and snug plenty of toe room. cant wait to get them out on the trail.
Needed to replace my previous Cabelas (lower Grade) Hikers that lasted me some good memories, Wanted a big upgrade from my previous boots. These have so far been impressive, altho I haven't given them a full test run yet. I have worn them around town and very comfortable so far super light, doesn't feel like I am wearing mid hikers. With very little fatigue so far. Hopefully I can give them a real test soon and write a better review.
