Can't say enough good things about these boots. Hiked in Colorado. Hunted pheasant & quail in Texas and they are rugged. Hunted geese in a steady rain and the only thing dry was my feet. Just spray the mud off with a hose and go. While they are not insulated, they kept me warm to 35 degrees in the mud with just regular socks. Comfortable from the start and sized right. Can't go wrong with these.
I've worn these boots during long days of pheasant hunting in S. Dakota and Illinois, antelope hunting in SE Montana, deer hunting in N. Wisconsin and for general hiking. They have handled the varied terrain and weather conditions without a hiccup and are very light and comfortable. I wear a 9 1/2 D shoe size - 10M in these boots works fine. I plan to buy another pair when these wear out. Definitely the best bang for the buck - another great Cabela's product!
I live in the high desert of S. California. Hot in summer & cold in winter. I bought a pair of these boots in Spring 2009. I wore them while I was a US Census worker in 2009 & 2010, in rain and cold, warm and sunny weather, working out in remote desert areas. Kept my feet warm and dry in cold, rainy weather. I also wear them everyday beginning late Fall thru Winter and Spring. Great trail hiking boots, very comfortable. I did not give a complete 5 star rating because I did have an unexpected problem. In Spring of 2011, I was out hiking one day in rainy weather when my feet and socks became soaking wet. I did not walk thru any steams, etc. I was shocked because the boots always kept my feet dry. I called Cabela's that day & explained to the customer service rep what had happened. I was informed that the waterproofing had probably worn off after 2 years. I was not aware that could happen so soon. The rep did send me a free can of Cabela's waterproofing to re-do my boots. I have had these boots 3 years now & it is time to replace them. Overall, got my moneys worth.
GREAT RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX. COMFORTABLE FROM THE START. I'M CURRENTLY DEPLOYED IN AFGHANISTAN AND WEAR THESE EVERY DAY OUTSIDE THE WIRE. WARM AND DRY ESPICALLY NOW WITH COLD WET WEATHER ON US IN THE NORTHERN PART OF THE COUNTRY. NO ISSUES WHAT SO EVER AND A GREAT PRICE. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THESE BOOTS. THINKING ABOUT GETTING AN ADDITIONAL PAIR SO I CAN ROTATE THEM. YOU WON'T GO WRONG WITH THESE!!
