Cabela's "Perfekt™" 7" Hikers by Meindl

When German master boot maker Alfons Meindl finished this series of boots for us, he had one word to describe it – "Perfekt". In fact, they’re built so well, they’re recommended by the American Podiatric Medical Association for their foot-friendly construction. At the heart of the series is a layer of natural cork that not only protects your joints from shock, but molds to your foot for custom support. Added to this is a Poron™ heel insert that resists compression for even more shock absorption and a comfortable walking stride. A moisture-managing layer over the footbed draws moisture away and transfers it to a dispersing layer, so your feet remain dry and comfortable. A 100% waterproof/breathable GORE-TEX® membrane keeps the sloppiest elements sealed out. And the DIGAfix® lacing system snugs the boots around your instep and heel, eliminating slippage without pinching or binding. A rugged polyurethane midsole adds an additional layer of comfort, and the Multigrip® rubber outsole offers no-slip traction on loose terrain. The 7 " Nubuck Hiker is uninsulated for comfort in warmer temperatures and has the added durability of full-grain nubuck leather. Made in Germany.

Really Perfekt Hikers Best Purchase Ever

This is my first pair of Hiker boots and boy what a great choice. I am a Winter Texan and spend about 4 months a year walking and hiking in the hill country. Before I used regular boots or Walking/Running shoes.
What a difference with Perfekt hikers. These are the most expensive boots I have ever purchased. From Day one they fit perfectly, and also walked perfectly, supported my heels and arch perfectly. I have a tendency for heel spurs and we have no pain with these Perfekt hikers. In the cold they keep your feet warm, when it is raining your feet are dry and when it is hot your foot still feels comfortable.
I walk and hike with 2 German Shepherd dogs and cover rocky terrain, gravel roads, mulch park paths and my feet and body do not feel anything. It is like my feet are isolated from the roughness of the trail.
The most amazing thing is, after wearing any boots and walking type shoes, where you always feel the terrain, the isolation from the trail just makes you feel great and that you could walk forever.
I highly recommend the Perfekt hikers. I do not have a lot of experience with this type of boot, but if these ever wear out, I will purchase another pair without hesitation. 5 stars for sure.

Expensive But Worth It

I had never spent as much on a pair of hiking boots before and was skeptical. I have bad knees and was told to get boots with good support. These boots were the best purchase that I have ever made. They are the only boots that I have ever worn that my feet stay dry as they are very breathable. I work outside alot in a variety of terrain including wetlands and they are very waterproof. I would highly reccomend them to anyone. I will never buy cheap boots again.

Tough Boots

This is my second pair of Perfekt Hikers, the first pair last over two years of daily wear. These are the most comfortable boots I have ever owned as well longest lasting.
