These lightweight hikers are made for athletic, high-performance activities. They have waterproof, breathable GORE-TEX® gasket construction as well as fabric lining treated with Aegis™ antimicrobial technology. Uppers are constructed of waterproof leather and breathable mesh. Rubber bumpers protect your toes from run-ins with rocks and stumps. Compression-molded EVA footframes and Merrell Air Cushion® midsoles create unmatched cushioning and support. Traction won't be a problem while you're climbing with the 5mm sole lug depth and Vibram® Multi-Sport™ Sole.

This is a very comfortable fitting shoe and it's sure footed on many surfaces in and outoors, but uncomfortably hot indoors. I love the waterproof while hiking with my dog.

Not water Proof!

I work on a cranberry marsh. I need my shoes to withstand a lot of walking on sand and in grass and be water proof. I bought these shoes and within a month they weren't water proof and the insole was comeing out. Within two months the outside was comeing apart. I don't walk in standing water but the dew and moister from the grass gets my feet soaked. For the money they MAY hold up to the person that is just going to walk through the woods here and there but if you want a durable and reliable shoe for everyday save your money and get a differant shoe. WILL NOT HOLD UP!!!

This was my first pair of Merrells ever, I will never wear another shoe again.
Every morning my feet would hurt as I climbed down the stairs, I thought it was because I was overweight, nope, my shoes. Both my dad and I have a pair, no more foot pain, and I love these shoes when I am launching my kayak...feet stay dry!
Great product and worth every penny, I wear my Merrells for everything from running my landscaping business to kayaking, and they have yet to let me down!

I bought these shoes as hiking shoes, but wear them as every day shoes because of the comfort. They allow your feet to breathe and keep them drip dry.
