Quality Shoe Runs Very Small

I purchased these shoes because of the rave reviews my son-in-law has made with regard to his Keens. When I received the shoes I anxiously opened the package to try the shoes on. On first glance, these were really nice shoes. The exterior of the shoe is sound and workmanship good. The interior is smooth and supple. Upon putting on the shoes, I immediately noticed that they were considerably smaller (both narrow and short) for my normal 10D. I returned these to our nearby Cabelas store. Unfortunately, they did not have a pair ito fit me. I'm very disappointed because had these shoes fit, I believe that I would have been happy with them.
