Shannon's Bug Tamer™ Plus Mitts

The patented Double-Guard™ double-net design provides spacing between the outer netting and the skin. This spacing is wide enough to prevent an insect’s stinger from coming in contact with your skin. Open-mesh 3-D design allows excellent ventilation, so it’s ideal for warm-weather hunting. The mitts have 4" finger slits for easy shooting access and elastic cuffs to keep bugs out. Made in USA.

Bug-Free & Versatile

I bought these mitts for a spring bow hunt for bear in northern Canada. They kept the bugs away and I was able to use my release without taking them off. After trying them on, I bought a smaller size and they fit great.

They just plain worked

Despite being a bit bulky and awkward at first for me to get used to (my issue and not the product's), this product worked and met my expectations. They were a good value and I would recommend them for non fly-fishing activities. They kept the bugs away from my hands for the most part. I was in the north Maine woods (where the AT starts) and the bugs (black flies and mosquitos) are far worse than any other place I have ever been in a wooded setting. This year the bugs were not as bad as in past years so a major test is yet to come.

The mitts worked really well as far as keeping mosquitoes from biting during my hunt, but were rather clumsy. I normally wear a large size glove/mitt, but these large mitts were way too large. If you plan on ordering these mitts, I would suggest ordering a smaller size than you normally wear.

Great for warm weather hunting, either with a bow or rifle, pleanty of room to open the ends up with one hand to get to your release or even your trigger.
