Sitka™ Ascent Pants – Regular

    • Resists wind, weather and abrasion
    • Fabric eliminates bulk and decreases weight
    • OptiFade camouflage from W.L. GORE
Sitka has developed hunting gear merging the latest technology with a mountaineering philosophy. The best technology, fabrics, designs and construction create hunting gear that outperforms mere clothing. It’s not just something you wear. This is a performance-driven system specifically created to be hunter-friendly. The pants’ fabric eliminates bulk, decreases weight and increases packability, giving them an unfailing advantage in a wide range of hunting conditions. The all-terrain Ascent Pants excel in most hunting conditions by resisting wind, weather and abrasion. OptiFade™ camouflage from W.L. GORE is the first and only concealment system scientifically designed around the way a hunter’s prey views the world. It’s the only concealment system to combine a symmetry-disrupting macropattern with the fractal-geometry-based micropattern designed to become nothing in the eyes of prey at engagement ranges of 20 meters and beyond. Stretch polyester/Lycra® blend has a durable water-repellent finish. Roll-up pant legs. Five pockets. Imported.
Even waist sizes: 32 (31" inseam), 34-40 (32" inseam).
Camo patterns: OptiFade™ Concealment Open Country, OptiFade™ Concealment Forest.

Disappointed
Date:
I wore these acsent pants for about 3 months. The material pilled or had small pulls from prickers and briars. Not a big deal, but after only 3 months of hunting, the crotch seam split open. And, i mostly only tree stand hunt. So it was not from extreme exertion.
i was disappointed, and returned to Cabelas for a different brand pants. i have other Sitka pieces and have been happy overall, but the acsent pants were not for me.

Finally great hunting clothing
Date:
I have never purchased camo because the quality is second rate. In addition to hunting I do a lot of backpacking and flyfishing and I have become accustomed to top quality outdoor gear from Marmot, Patagonia and others. Sitka delivers that quality in hunting clothing. I was lucky enough to discover Sitka in the Bargain Cave while outfitting for a hunt in NZ but would have gladly paid full price. Wore these pants on a five day hunt in New Zealand native bush in rain and heavy mist. Pants held up well and shed surface moisture.

ASCENT PANTS
Date:
I wore Sitka clothing for the first time on an AZ archery elk hunt. I was sceptical about the polyester material & high cost but I spoke to a helpful Sitka rep & bought the Ascent pants, core zip T, core bottoms, Traverse zip T & Jetstream vest. I wore the clothing for 9 straight days where the temps were 40-90 degrees. The silver in the core base layers works. I sweat allot & I had no problems with putting on the same clothing every day. I was within 4-30 yards of over 12 bulls I passed over wearing the Open Country design. After 9 days the clothing looked clean & ironed. The only way you knew I wore them in the field & not to the store was elk blood on the lower leg. The fit was perfect to my normal sizing. I am 6'3" 250 lbs (38/L pants, XXL tops). Everything Sitka says about this clothing is true. The clothing is ATHLETIC gear. If you have a beer-belly, out of shape, big butt and don't do much walking with a pack: Sitka is not for you. It has an athletic fit.
