Kryptek Cadog Jacket
Date:
I wore this jacket on a 10 day backcountry hunt in Montana. The temperature ranged from 10 to 50 degrees with weather including sun, rain, sleet, and snow. This jacket kept me warm (with proper layering) and did a good job breaking wind as well as shedding light rain and snow. My favorite feature is the pit zips. They allow the jacket to breath very well when hiking/climbing several miles. This jacket not only breathes well, it also kept me warm while spotting or riding a horse for several miles. The jacket is also tough. It does not rip, tear, or snag while going through thick brush. This is a great product for active hunters.

Cadog Shield Jacket
Date:
I wore this jacket on a backcountry Colorado archery elk hunt in 2011. The weather was colder and wetter than any i can remember (13 years). The jacket preformed great. It was warm and very wind resistent. The camo pattern blended with the high country as well. Great jacket.

comfortable lightweight and warm
Date:
I purchased the jacket and the lightweight pants prior to a mule deer hunt in Montana. I could not have been more pleased. The jacket was plenty warm for cold mornings glassing in the wind and snow, but light enough and well ventilated that i didnt overheat while hiking. After two weeks of hard use i didnt notice any signs of wear. I was so impressed that since my trip i have already purchased two other items from kryptek and plan to purchase more.

Impressive soft shell jacket
Date:
I saw this jacket onsale thru Cabelas and did a little research and thought I would try it. After about 6 phone calls I found one in the Cabelas store in East Harford. Had it shipped to me and to be honest, was already thinking about the next jacket I would try and returning this one.
I recieved it and was very impressed with the weight first of all. Perfect for layering. Second was comfort and construction. Impressed again. All the pockets make it a very useful jacket and it has plenty of room around the chest and arms, which with other brand soft shells has always been an issue. It appears to be cut for someone with an atheltic type build.
Overall, it will most likely be the jacket I wear everyday. I do have other companies softshell's and some are quite expensive. I also have co-workers that have other brand name hunting jackets and in my opinion, this Kryptek Cadog jacket is every bit as good if not better.
