Cabela's Legacy™ MicroFleece Henley with WindShear™

  • Lightweight and quiet polyester microfleece
  • Wind-blocking power of WindShear
  • Three-button Henley design
Layering is key to dealing with whatever Mother Nature throws at you. It’s the best approach to prepare you for changing weather conditions in the field. Legacy microfleece is the quintessential garment for layering. The 270-gram polyester fleece is light enough to keep you from overheating on the way to your stand, and it’s terrific when worn as an outer garment during early- and midseason hunts. Combined with Cabela’s-exclusive WindShear, a windproof fabric that seals out biting winds and locks in warmth, the fleece performs exceptionally well as an undergarment that will keep you comfortable and focused while on stand. This three-button Henley offers unrestricted movement. We’re confident that once you’ve tried our Legacy microfleece, you won’t go back to anything else. Machine washable. Imported.

Not what expected
Date:
This shirt isnt what I expected. I thought it would be fleeced lined along w/ being windproof. The inside is like a nylon fabric/windsheer. The shirt would be better if had a fleece lining on the inside for a warm/soft feel.
I am keeping shirt since it was a gift but will buy something better.

Are you kiddng me?
Date:
Well, as always I am a little confused. I currently have 3 goretex and windshear jackets from cabelas. The oldest one is 15 years old and the newest one is 1 year old. The 15 year old jacket is an XL and has been washed and dried at least 30 times. The middle aged one (7 years old) has been washed and dried about 20 times and is a XXL . Both has remained true to size and was true to size when I bought them.
However the 1 year old jacket is a XXL, that I can literally wear under the XL jacket of old, as well as the XXL pullover. It has shrunk to the top of my butt and has gotten so small that after just a few washings, I am afraid to wash it again. And it never was very big to start of with.
So, thinking it maybe just the style of the jacket, I ordered these shirts in XXL. The quality seems second to none. The length actually is great with plenty for tucking in. But the sizing is way off. The forearms and trunk are much smaller than my other cabelas clothing, even in XL. So, don't buy these thinking you are going to layer up 2 or 3 things under them because the arms are extremely small too.
When did it become the norm for hunting clothes to be designed like we are going to town for dinner? When you purchase something in XXL, that is what it should be. Real roomy. But these are not. They are going to bind with anything other than a insulated underwear shirt below them due to the "Techno" styling. If I wanted stylish fit it wouldn't have camo on it.
I am going to keep these and just use them under wool jackets and vests, but as far as using them to pack in and put a wool button up shirt and or vest undernesth them, for get about it. If you do not plan on wearing them as you would a long sleeve tee shirt you are going to be disapointed. Good day and God Bless

So far,so good
Date:
Purchased this item during archery season, only able to try it out a couple times, but the wind definetley did not go through it. Can't wait for firearm season and late flintlock for the ultimate test. Called the perfect mid-layer and I believe that is true.
