This pullover is very warm, blocks the wind very well if it's really blowing hard some wind still gets through. I mean like 20 mph wind or more, buy a size larger than normal i am 6'4" 200lbs and i have the 2x tall fits great. when it's cold this is my new favorite coat. it is very quite no noise, and it is not bulky at all, great for bow hunting.
Got this on clearance middle of last deer season. Broke a sweat immediately trying it on in the house. 1st hunt out was in single digits with sub zero wind chill. Peformed flawlessly. Paired it with the matching pants and hat and it makes a great late season outfit. Warm, quiet and confortable. Cant beat it. Also wore it with my bowhunter extreme SST bibs and it make a great late season outfit too. Would rather have had a zipper jacket with hood, but needed tall sizes so I ordered this pullover. Longer length helps keep wind out. Only draw back is even in single digits I have to pack it in becuase I can't unzip it fully and its too warm until I sit down. Used it for muzzle loader season. Hope to hunt some late bow next year in it since its so quiet.
I had a camo fleece hoody that wasn't warm enough in winter without more layers. I wanted a heavier, breathable pullover fleece that I could wear while walking my dog in bitter weather and for hunting. I don't have to mess with zippers while I'm wearing gloves, and it's adjustable to keep out drafts. This one is also perfect for wearing under my Gore-Tex parka on cold days in the boat.
This pull over with a hoodie is a great layering addition for a cold weather, late season deer stand sit or for a stint in a layout blind while goose hunting. I'm 6'2" and 220 lbs., so a 2XLTall worked out great for an easy shouldering and swing with my TC smoke pole for deer or a quick snap shot for decoying geese with a 10 gauge. Keep in mind that although its got wind sheer and keeps you warm... its not meant as an outer layer for the rain. ( By the way... the pants in XL tall make for a nice combo.)
