    • Abrasion- and wind-resistant WindStopper fabric
    • Whisper-quiet, lightly brushed face
    • Durable water-repellent finish

Sitka has developed a system of hunting gear, merging the latest technology together with a mountaineering philosophy. The best technology, fabrics, designs and construction create hunting gear that outperforms mere “clothing”. It’s not just something you wear. This is a performance-driven system specifically created to be hunter-friendly. The breathable, midweight bibs eliminate bulk and give you a full range of motion. Feature an abrasion- and wind-resistant WindStopper fabric. The whisper-quiet, lightly brushed face is treated with a durable water-repellent finish. Articulated knees and seat allow for comfortable sitting. Zip openings on cuffs slide easily over boots. Chest, hand and thigh pockets keep you organized. Ideal for midseason hunting or layering in colder conditions. Layers perfectly with the Stratus Jacket for complete core protection from the elements. Optifade™ camouflage from GORE is the first and only concealment system ever scientifically designed around the way a hunter’s prey views the world. It’s the only concealment system to combine a symmetry disrupting macro-pattern with the fractal-geometry-based micropattern designed to become nothing in the eyes of prey at engagement ranges of 20 meters and beyond. Imported.

stratus bib
Date:
Had a chance to use both bib and jacket for a full season and am pleased for sure. I wear either underarmor or climafleece under both garments and NEVER had a problem with the elements. EXTREMELY light and Very windresistant. All I can say is on my last day of this year hunting I was snowed on for 4 hours straight, and the wind was about 20 mph the whole time. I never felt as comfortable in that type of weather as I did this year. I would attribute it all to the stratus bib and Jacket. Great product for sure!

fairly dissappointed
Date:
I did alot of research before buying and was convinced this was the right purchase to make for bowhunting and rifle hunting deer in wisconsin. This year I finally got to test the real preformance of this product side by side with a competitors. I was rained on, snowed on, had strong winds in sunny weather and foul. the sitka gear seemed to let the wind get through and in fairly heavy rain (for about 30min), I would have been soaked in an hour. without a base layer you will get cold fast in colder weather. sitka advertises these bibs as being designed with the stand hunter in mind- I think they failed that test. I wore first base layer of expedition cold gear, and second layer was sitka expedition base. I needed to throw on a outer layer of Cabelas fleece scentlock to keep warm after the temp dropped below 20F and winds of 10mph while sitting in a stand.
The high points of this product is fit, how fast it dries, and flexibility. these bibs are great for someone that stillhunts (sit and walk) but not for a treestand hunter. the amout of pockets is great, the fabric is very quiet and seems durable, and the fit is not at all bulky. I would recomend these to any non-treestand hunter that only has light to no parcipitation, but not as a substitute for raingear. Kneeling or sitting is snow will get you wet as well.
I like these well anough not to return, however, I will not purchase any new sitka gear. The competitors product I also tested with this sitka gear will get my new purchases since it exceeded all expectations.
