Excellent hunting jacket even for the coldest area

I just got back from 10 days in Colorado and wore this jacket the entire time with some good quality thermals and a long sleeve shirt. I was completely comfortable down to zero degrees and when active I had to take the jacket off to prevent overheating. The material is high quality and the fit was perfect. The only negative items I can think of is that the jacket was not waterproof so when I got snow dumped on me it would melt and soak into the jacket slightly. The other problem was that the 2 hand pockets are angled so that items placed in the pocket will fall out easily if the zipper is left open. I noticed things falling out the first day and just made sure to zip up the pockets when not using them and everything was fine. If they would have made the pocket go down an inch lower than the zipper it wouldn't be an issue but maybe they would not be as comfortable when you have your hands in the pockets? Who knows. It's a great jacket and those are both very minor issues.

Seems like it would be pretty warm, especially if used as a layer in extreme cold. Im 5'10"170lbs and ordered the med. Should've got the large I guess. No chance of wearing anything more than a heavy thermal underneath. Real small in the armpit area.

This ayton jacket is great for hunting, kept me warm in below freezing temps with strong winds with just a light fleece beneath. Very comfortbale and fits well. I'm 5'8", 150#'s and got a medium. Wear it with the ayton bibs and stay absolutely warm, also withstands walks through some thorny areas and burrs without issues.
