A spacious fit welcomes you inside the waterproof, 12-oz. oilskin shell. Includes a snap-over storm panel, a nubuck leather top collar, and a quilted plaid and taffeta lining. Storage space is abundant with cargo, handwarmer, hidden chest and inside pockets. Imported.

Received my Overland Vest this afternoon. It is just as advertised & just what I expected!
I own 2 oilskin drovers and an oilskin hat. I really wanted this vest because I love oilskin!
Just bear in mind it will be oily. Reckon that's why they call it oilskin, right?
First thing I do with a new oilskin garment is hang it on the shower rod in the spare bathroom for a week to let it breathe and dry out a bit. Doing so helps a lot.
The vest is very well made & I am very pleased. Not sure if the zipper is brass, but it is metal. All the hardware works well & is very nice.
A great vest & a great buy!
I purchase from Cabela's on a semi-regular basis and am always very impressed with their service.

Bad vest

I bought a Outback Overland vest in CABELA'S Grand Junction store. When I first used it, I got surprised for the bad quality of the vest. The brown wax from the leather collar has left several stains on my new shirt that I was wearing under it . I lost my new shirt, a Beretta's shirt bought in Beretta´s Store in Paris. I'm very upset with Cabela's products. I live in Brazil and I can't belive that in USA such bad problems can occur. The stains remain there...and I am afraid to wear the vest again, Who can do something to help me ?

Stains clothing

Received vest as a Christmas Gift--great look and fit however the collar of the vest stains all the shirts I wear under the vest. Cabela's customer service was great in contacting Outback for a solution but Outback's customers service has been very poor. Returned vest to Outback for treatment they stated would solve problem. After sending vest back and waiting 2 weeks I called and was informed it was sitting on someone's desk and had been overlooked. When I finally received the vest back the problem still exists. It appears they either did nothing to the collar of the vest or their solution is not a solution at all. Very dissapointed with outcome and of Outback Trading Company.

I was so impressed. I immediatly bought one for my brother, the look of the weathered leather, and plenty of pockets, cargo pockets expand, hand pockets and inside chest pockets, one on left side zippers closed.. I couldnt be any more pleased.. Just an outstanding vest..
