Expensive, but worth it.

I'm very happy with this coat. I got this because my son was pleased with the uninsulated version. These run a little large. I initially got a large, but swapped for a medium, and there’s still plenty of room for layers underneath. Sleaves run long but the cuffs have a velcro tab to tighten up the cuffs.
For an hour in 30oF 15-20mph wind I stayed warm with a knit shirt and sweat shirt underneath. I would have stayed warm in the same wind to another 15oF colder, easy.
The hand and breast pockets are huge. Between the four of them they take up the full frontal of the jacket.
There’s a draw cord for the waist with the ends threaded into the hand pockets. When I’m fishing for something in the pockets I often mistake the cords for what I’m looking for. I had a Mountain Hardware coat like this with the draw cords outside. I like that setup better for convenience.
I haven’t used the hood. i'd have given it 5 stars, but the collar won’t lay flat with the hood removed.
