In the fall, moisture comes at you in different forms – rain, snow and sleet. This jacket is prepared to take on them all. It combines two Cabela's-exclusive technologies: waterproof, breathable Dry-Plus and extremely warm MicroDown synthetic insulation. Inside the durable nylon taffeta shell, the Dry-Plus keeps moisture out while letting perspiration vapor escape. That keeps you from overheating during periods of physical exertion. All of the components are light, so you're not weighted down when wearing it. An internal fleece cuff keeps cold chills from crawling up your arm. Pocket space includes a waterproof, zippered chest pocket and two handwarmer pockets. There's also an adjustable hood, adjustable cuffs and a drawcord waist. Imported.

It's better than a parka

My pet peeve with parkas is their length. Fortunately, this item is a jacket. I agree with other reviewers that the shell is stiff and the insulation is medium weight. Good for commuting & running errands during the coldest of days. And this jacket is great for keeping the wind and wet out. But if I were to work or be outside for long periods, additional layers are warranted

It is soundly sewed. A problem with a collar - very rigid, completely clasped it is inconvenient.

You can not beat this coat for the price. I like mid weight insulated jackets and this one fit the bill. I prefer this to a 3 in 1 jacket system, but thats just me. My only gripe, and its a small one, is that the hood doesn't stow away. That being said the hood is insulated so it probably would be bulky anyways. I am a person that buys better quality outerwear and I have been pretty loyal to EMS but this jacket is awesome. I will say the outer layer is stiffer than some of the newer tech jackets but I like it that way, it seems a little more sturdy. It has a nice relaxed fit, so many of the newer outer wear is slim or closer fitting for activity and this coat fits good but has room to layer with out binding up. Buy it, you will not be disappointed. Thanks Cabelas.

i purcased the woodland color several years ago and will purchase one of the new colors this year. i work in consstuction field and this jacket delivers everything i need in a changing climate and in rigorous work conditions. Exellent for stopping rain and wind, warm enough for temperatures 50 - 30 degrees and with thermal underlings, i have been in conditions from 30 degrees down to 0. The dry plus works well and pockets are at the perfect place for accomodating large work gloves. and the hood was made large enough to fit my hard hat underneath.great freedom of movement and lightweight make it the best bank for my buck. will purchase one for casual wear as well. great job cabelas...
