great down jacket for the money

Ordered the xxl tall as I have broad shoulders and a large chest, so I typically need a size up for coats and shirts to fit. As other reviewers have noted, the "cut" of these jackets is large. I bet an xl would would have fit even my large football player torso! This coat is unbeatable at these reduced prices. 650 fill is light, warm, and packable. Velcro cuffs at wrists keep warmth in. Bungee tabs at bottom keep warmth trapped in the jacket. Just remember, these jackets are about a size larger compared to other Cabelas jackets (I have a xxxl goretex jacket also). You may have to order, try it on, and exchange till you get a perfect fit, but Cabelas cust. service is top notch so no worries there. I bought another for my dad for xmas. Great item at this price.

Great lightwieght coat. Warm, not bulky, fits good-but the fabric is very fragile.
My coat is tearing at the seams from regular wear.
Down is leaking and I do not see any way to fix it.
The tears are at the stiching on the seams and about a half inch long.
Otherwise very good.

I was totally amazed by the warmth and the fit of the jacket... I purchased a 3XL Tall, because I wanted the jacket to fit a little bit longer, and I am totally pleased with the quality, fit, and warmth that the jacket brings... I have been a loyal Cabela's customer for about 3 1/2 years now, and everything I have purchased thus far has been nothing less than outstanding! Thanks Cabela's, you're numero uno in my book!!!! Keep up the good work......

Bought two (regular and tall). Quality of tall is bad. A lot of down is getting out of shell. Also there's a hole on right sleeve. Shipping back for inspection and possible refund has no reason due to int'l shipping rates.
