These gloves have done a good job of keeping my hands dry and warm in moderate conditions. There isn't enough insulation for colder weather, however I use glove liners when I need to, and they'll be warm enough then.
These gloves are very comfortable and warm on the coldest days down South (10 degrees). The quality and design are flawless. The lack of trigger finger does not bother me as I never wear a fingered glove on my release hand while shooting. These gloves are substantial so there is some bulk but no more than I would expect for a very warm pair of gloves.
This glove is the perfect combination. Not as bulky as the next step up (which is more like a ski glove). Crafted beautifully. Maybe a improvement would be a trigger finger. As it is the same size as the rest of the fingers now. Kept my hands warm and dry on a rather wet week (snow high - rain low) of high altitude Elk hunting in Colorado. Just can't beat wool. Four stars because I wet my hand and tried to insert it wet. It went in very well actually, but did bind just a little. Not a showstopper by any means. I ordered a Large, and they fit perfect (not too big, as I wanted less bulk). But Cabelas sizing chart said I was a Medium (near top end of medium). So I think their chart is on the small side.
