Danner 8" 400 Gram Santiam Boots
Date:
I purchased these boots 1 year ago to the date. I'm a forester and wear these boots everyday in the woods. They've been through rain, snow, mud and creeks. I've also put many miles on these shoes and they are by far the best and most comforable boot I've ever worn. Danner makes a superior product and I will never buy another brand. They are a little pricey, but the abuse I've put these shoes through, I think it was worth it.
Even after a year and they are still waterproof!! (Unlike my rockies that I bought, they were wore out in 6months and they were $110.00)

Simply the best
Date:
I purchased these boots for an elk hunt in the rocky mountains. The second day of the hunt we got 16 inches of wet heavy snow, and the temp got down to 11 degrees when the snow stopped. Climbing the steep terrain with all the snow and even after it warmed up a few days later which made it sloppy and greasy, these boots were by far the best choice. Traction was superior, my feet stayed warm and dry the whole trip. Awesome product.

Best boots
Date:
Like most people I wear boots everyday whether at work, hunting or hiking. I have owned my Danner boots now for 5 years and these are by far the best pair of boots I have. I have logged hundreds of miles on the Rocky Mountains wearing these boots and they show no sign of wear. The boots keep my feet warm in the elk blinds high in the mountains and they are light enough to get high in the mountains. The sole has tons of traction. I can walk in mud, snow, rocks, and grass and have no problems slipping. It is an all leather boot, which is hard to find but once broken in will last a lifetime. If your feet are done growing then I recommend this boot because you will not need another boot for a long long time. The price is a little high but like I said my boots are broken in but no sign of serious wear. I think I will be able to hunt in them for well over 10 years. I do wear good high quality wool socks with these boots and I use the danner leather treatment products.
