I researched and debated for several months before buying these. I was looking for something for in the blind and ice fishing as well as outdoor work around the house in Northern Michigan.
Like all pac boots they are big but not more than others. They are rigid and kind of rock when you step. They are very comfortable to wear and unlike the ice men I replaced them with provide lots of support. The thick sole helps insulate between your feet and the cold surfaces. The loop on the liner makes them easy to get off. They are warm and water proof.
I typically walk a mile back to my blind and I didn't notice any difference between these and my other boots.
Very warm, sturdy, and definitely my first choice for winter boot. Size ran true.
These boots are really warm, when my feet have a hard time saying warm ice fishing. I wear typically size 12 boots and when I received my size 12 pair, I thought they were tight, but as I figured when I broke them in they loosen up. They still fit but they are on the verge of being to loose because I can't tighten the strings any more. Other wise boots seem to be made real well and I like them.
the boot is bulky looking but not to bad for walking distances out on the ice. I love having the liner that can be pulled out and the pocket on the bottom to put heat packs in if necessary. Had my first extreme piece of weather (-21 wind chill) to try them out and the results were ok. I blame it more on the lack of circulation in my toes than the boots themselves. They were a major upgrade of what I previously wore. The overall construction of the boot is excellent and easy to tie up. The only negatve I can come up with is the fact I can't drive with them on because the boot actually comes in contact with the brake pedal.
i was looking at other boots and saw these and thought i would get these ones and glad i did they are a real good boot they are good and worm and love the linner that comes with them that when you need extra wormth you got it water proof is a plus i would recomend them to anyone i will buy them again
