Cabela's Canada™ Hunting Boots by Meindl

Meindl's knowledge and attention to quality has been passed down through generations and this boot is proof. The Canada™ boot is perfectly suited for extremely rough terrain; the kinds of places hunters go to find trophy sheep, elk and mule deer. A GORE-TEX® bootie makes it 100% waterproof, yet breathes to allow water vapor to escape. 200-gram Thinsulate™ insulation insulates without the loft or bulk associated with other types of insulation. Meindl's Super-Grip sole, with its built-in shock absorber system, makes walking on rocks and rough terrain seem like you're walking on pillows. Heavily waxed, one piece leather uppers withstand immense punishment and are extremely water-resistant. This boot features a glove-soft, padded collar that encases the ankle and lower calf area in support and comfort. Perforated polyurethane footbed covered with Cambrelle® further insulates the foot from cold and absorbs impact. The rock guard just above the sole protects the leather from rocks and brush that often damage other hunting boots. These boots have a rigid sole, similar to the best heavy duty mountaineering boots, but with the support and protection of 11" boots. If you demand the very best in footwear, these are for you. Made in Germany

If you care about your feet, spend the extra money and buy these boots. I had looked at these boots for quite a few years and the price tag always scared me away, but the old moto "You get what you pay for" holds true with these. We do a lot of hunting on rugged steep mountains and I have never felt so comfortable in any other pair of boots. The traction is second to none, ankle support is out of this world and the durability is amazing. It feels like your feet are in 4-Low when your hiking something rugged. These boots broke right in with a few trips out scouting and before too long they felt like I was slipping on moccassins. Kudos to Meindl for making the ultimate hunting boots for all hunting applications. If these boots can't get you there, you don't belong there. Amen!

Still The Best
Date:
I bought a pair of Meindl "Denalis" (old style) almost twenty years ago. This was after wearing out a pair of boots every two or three years hunting in the rimrock and boulders of Colorado and Wyoming. Those boots went through a lot of rock dirt, mud, snow and brush, with never a blister, hot spot, wet or cold feet. My friends called them my Wyoming tennis shoes. But alas, they wore out. (They're still around, and still comfortable, I just wore some holes in them finally) So I tried the new Denali, and it didn't fit the same. While looking at the Cabelas, website I saw the "Canada" and noticed it had the same foot/last/bottom configuration with a couple of modifications to the rand, etc. I ordered a pair and have been wearing them about two months. Same drill. No blisters, hot spots or other issues. I have a long skinny foot and with good socks, they feel like slippers. The Canada is higher than the Denali, but at my age, I probably need the extra support. These are the second most comfortable boots I've ever worn, the first being the above. Based on my experience, they're well worth the money, and I'm extremely pleased.

Love these boots!

I don't know how many pairs of these boots I've owned over 25 years but it's close to ten. I'm 6'3 275 and these Boots take me into high country to hunt mule deer and elk every year and never let me down. I wear them almost every day and everywhere. They are the best supportive boot I've ever found and more comfortable than a pair of athletic shoes. I've tried all the big name boots over the years but end up giving or throwing those away. The tread wear out or the boots break down under the load I put on them but Ive never had them fail. Ever! Always water proof and never a blister. I've even started buying them for my son who is just getting started hunting high country animals. That's the best recommendation I can think of, family.
