I had these on over a pair of Cabelas boots in -24 degrees ice fising. My feet were comfortable. I would recommend these if you are spending time out in the cold..
Used booties late in 2010 deer season and Oct-Dec 2011 during many tree and ground stand sessions. Temp range ~high teens-40s. I'm a chronic cold feet person. Insulators solved a real problem. Lightweight, folds for easy carry. Stand use only; not for moving. Thru trial and error decide under what conditions to put chemical handwarmer into each bootie. When using handwarmer, put into bootie AS SOON as set up on stand. Handwarmers I use last many hours. Bootie is designed to prevent getting cold, NOT to warm already cold feet. I wear size 10 shoes. Booties fit ok over three different shoes worn this season. If in doubt get larger size. Suggest adding a pull tab on zipper, light color for visibility and size for easy grasping. Put parrafin was on zipper for ease of movement.
These boot insulators work very well on those cold mornings in a deer stand. Cold being a relative term, here in SC we don't see extreme cold and therefore normally wear lighter weight boots making the insulators a nice layered addition.
When ordering be sure to get a pair large enough to fit over the type boot you wear.
These over-boot insulators were just what I was looking for. Just got back from a 3 day hunting weekend. Took them out with me the first Cold morning, low teens and windy. My feet never got cold like they usually do after 4-5 hours on stand! I know for sure, since I forgot them the second morning of hunting. My feet got cold as was before having these. That afternoon, brought them back out, they work perfectly! like others suggest, try them on before going into stand, they can be aakward putting on in stand with all other warming hunting clothing on. I purchsed the size larger as suggested, then I needed.
