Made from ultracomfortable SmartWool, these socks are great for all-day, extreme-hunting activities. With a soft top, smooth toe seam and a supportive arch brace you'll want to wear these socks whenever you go afield. Made of 79% wool, 20% nylon and 1% spandex. Extra-heavyweight, fully cushioned leg and foot. Smart-fit over-the-calf (OTC) length. Made in USA.

Let me start by saying I own two pair of these socks, one red and grey, one green and grey. The green ones came first and they are awesome. Warm and comfortable, no complaints. The red and grey ones came second. I bought a pair of these newer, red ones and had a similar issue as another reviewer, extremely tight around the top portion of the sock and hard to get on and off. I returned that pair. However, I bought another pair of the red ones at the store, on sale, after examining them first and this pair fit much better. They are extremely warm and comfortable. Only downside, don't wear them around the house without any footwear on because the sole fabric will wear out much faster.

I would have to agree with the previous reviewer. Unless you have twigs for legs, you will not be able to get the tight and unstretchable cuff over your calf. Should you somehow manage to accomplish that, you will need scissors to remove these socks before your feet turn blue from lack of blood supply. Cabela's...what happened to the previous design of this sock that used to be on your web site? The sock that was gray and green and called the OTC Extra Heavy Weight Hunting Sock? Now THAT was a good and comfortable sock that never slipped down my leg. This new design is a waste of money and high shipping fees.

The over the calf smart wool socks were expensive and very disappointing. An over the calf sock with a top band so unforgiving, and non-stretching to create a touniquet around the calf. Very poor design, painful even. I would recommend these for anyone who wants really expensive golf club covers
