A longtime favorite for outdoorsmen with an updated 47% merino wool, 27% olefin, 20% stretch nylon and 6% Lycra® fabric blend for superior moisture-wicking performance and warmth. Merino wool and olefin (a moisture-managing fiber) band together to transport perspiration from inside the sock to the surface where it evaporates quickly. The finer-grade Australian merino wool has long, supple fibers that don’t irritate skin. The ankle- and foot-hugger designs make for a better fit that stays put throughout the day. Per pair. Very warm socks

I have had a pair of these socks for ten years now and they have never let my feet get to cold. If anything my feet stay so warm that the,socks are damp when I remove them. With that said my feet have never felt clamy something I cant say even with heated socks. I likec these socks so much that I ordered a second pair when I moved to iowa 2 years ago for snow removal. Even at 12 below t nh esn socks worked great.

Decent, but not great

I bought these thinking they would be similar to my all time favorite winter hunting socks, which are RedHead's lifetime guarantee heavyweight sock. Unfortunately these don't measure up in terms of warmth. They are much thinner and noticeably less warm. They are a great mid-weight sock, but if you really need warmth they are not the right sock. Also if you have winter footwear sized for thick socks these will cause a loose fit

Great Socks

These socks are great for long days in boots. Good shock absorbsion, great moisture control, and they don't shrink every time you wash them like normal wool socks. They are just as good as Smartwool socks, but at a much better price.
