Great product

Excellent product, only thing that I would recommend - is buying 1 size up. I wear 36 waist, and in all other Sitka brand pants I wear their large. However, I had to return the large for an extra large because of the slim fit. I did have their Ascent Pants layered underneath, which should be noted.

Great Rain Pants

Sitka doesn't lie when they claim to make hunting gear with a mountaineering philosophy. As a backpacking guide in North Idaho, I look for the same thing in hunting gear as I would in quality backpacking gear. The Downpour Pant is great for both applications. The Gore-Tex does great to keep you dry, and the stretch fit makes these pants extremely comfortable to move around in. They are lightweight and packable. They zip all the way up, making it easy to take them on and off. Plus, each pant leg has two zippers, which means you can create leg vents to air yourself out when you start moving around.
I have heard others complain of the noise of this and the Downpour Jacket. They are indeed, a hard shell to be worn over a middle layer. Do not get these if you are looking for an insulative layer or softshell. They are not as quiet as fleece, but I do not think they are loud by any means. The brushed face helps significantly with the noise. Plus, gotta love the Optifade!
I strongly recommend these as a great hunting rain paint.
