Cabela's MT050® Pro GORE-TEX® Rain Bibs

The brushed MT050 polyester shell, waterproof and breathable GORE-TEX laminate, and super-slick polyester lining are bonded into one ultratough layer without compromising 100% waterproof and breathable performance. No movement between the layers increases durability and promotes silence. Heavy-duty waterproof YKK® Vislon® zippers and Gorilla-tape seams add to the ultrasturdy design. Ultratough, completely waterproof, breathable and optimized for complete freedom of movement. Adjustable H-style elastic suspenders with quick-release buckles. Integrated elastic waist, gusseted crotch and articulated knees enhance the fit and free motion. Two chest pockets, two front pockets, two thigh pockets and two back pockets, all with Vislon waterproof zippers. Legs zip above the knees for easy on and off. Imported.

Way too noisy if you walk while hunting.

The guide had to lend me a pair of pants while deer hunting because the waterproof layer was making a swoosh swoosh sound at every step.

If you are stationary no problem, great quality but the lateral pockets make it too rigid and uncomfortable when you bend or sit.

Sent them back and had great service (as usual) from Cabelas.

Not what I expected

I purchased these bibs due to their appearance in durability and the Gore-Tex fabric. Both let me down unfortunately. I decided to truly test the bibs this year on stand/stalk with cold, heavy rain. Although they were a great wind stopper and extremely quiet, I cannot say they kept me dry. The queit/windstopper feature is why they received 2 stars instead of 1 star. They leaked very badly in the waste which lead to my whole backside and down my legs being soaked. My opinion is the elastic band at the waste that is sewed into the fabric is what caused the problem. If I were to buy again, I would purchase the pants and not bibs. The fabric all below my waste stayed dry and did not leak. Another thing though is they ripped while walking through medium brush (beach brush, small jaggers, tree tops). I figured with the durable feel, they would hold up better. I require rugged gear so I may have been harder on them than most. If you are more of a stalk and spot hunter that stays out of heavy brush, I would recommend the Pro GORE-TEX pants and not the bibs. The good thing is Cabelas has great customer service and I returned them with no problem. Love that Cabelas strives for customers to be 100% satisfied.

At 6' 1" and 220lbs, I purchased the Bibs in size large.
Fit perfectly over base or mid layers.
3 days of active bow hunting in the pouring rain and not a single leak. Stayed dry even when kneeling down and sitting with no wet spots. No all "waterproof rated clothes" can handle this. Zippers and pockets, and suspenders all feel top quality. I like it. Would absolutely buy again.

One suggestion: the zippered legs should be able to zip from both top and bottom or at least provide a strap to secure bottom when unzipped and venting.
