Disappointed
Date:
I bought these to match my MT050 jacket. I live and hunt in Washington state, so I have fairly high standards for rain gear. These didn't cut it for high country mule deer hunting around here. First of all, they're heavy and bulky - much more so than other shell rain pants I've owned. Second, the loose mesh lining sags and makes getting them on and off over wet boots frustrating. Third, when they get wet they stay wet - and heavy. You can't just shake them off. Last, they ripped the first time I wore them. I didn't notice catching them on anything, but when I got back to camp they had a rip in the knee, just from walking through the woods under what I would call normal hunting conditions. Bottom line, these are probably fine for sitting in a tree stand, but not for high country backpack hunts where weight and performance matter. On a positive note, Cabela's service is great; they took them back no questions asked and gave me a full refund.

awesome buy
Date:
I have hunted the last 2 years wearing my MTO50 pants, here in western oregon we get alot of rain during the hunting season and these are the best rain pants I have purchased. And I have tried many brands over the last 20 years. Having them packable into their own pocket makes them very easy to carry also.

Not so great
Date:
Spent 8 days on Montague Is. AK. It rained hard and the wind blew. A perfect test for rain gear. We were walking through waist high grass. By noon on the first day the water had seeped through the front of my pants. I was wet to the bone. Never buy rain gear labled "quiet" unless you can dry them each night. The "quiet" fabric gets wet, heavy and remains wet until you get home.
