I don't go hunting without it!
Date:
Whether it's mild/cool or cold (as a top coat), I don't go to any hunt without it. It is top quality, WP in downpours lasting all day, soft and a pleasure to wear. Tops off all my heavy weather gear so I can layer without having a huge, bulky top coat to deal with. Packing for trips is an extra bonus this coat gives as it can go in it's own big chest pocket!!! This is a fine piece of hunting gear that is well worth the price.

Wet Wear
Date:
I bought this and the pants that go with it. Both leaked the very first time out in the rain. Granted they didn't leak very bad, but did leak. Then a couple weeks after this experience I was in Alaska where this rain wear failed miserably. It was only slightly better than just putting a trash bag over one's self to keep dry. Plus the exterior material picks up every burr known to man. This is the most disappointing product I have even bought from Cabelas.

MT050 Packable Raingear
Date:
I have had this raingear for a couple years and until a recent trip to New Zealand loved it. However on a Tahr hunt over there we got caught in a nasty mix of rain and snow. Within a matter of 15 minutes I and my hunting partner who has the same gear were soaked through to the skin. This gear would be fine for a light drizzle or snow but no good for real wet conditions. Our guides had Swazi raingear and were bone dry.

Good and not so good
Date:
I live in and hunt / fish the west coast and Rockies so needed something to stand up to our downpours. Purchased jacket and pants, didn't work so well. First time out got caught in a afternoon downpour. After about 20 minutes felt like I had been standing in a shower, was wet clear through. Quiet and good looking camo, but lacking rain protection . Sent mine back
