Cabela’s and Meindl – names synonymous with legendary quality and performance. That’s why it’s only natural for Meindl to build an extra-special pair of hunting boots (only 1,000 pairs, to be exact) commemorating Cabela’s 50th Anniversary. At their heart is a pair of Perfekt™ footbeds with their foot-conforming combination of cork, Poron™-cushioned heels and moisture-dispersing fabric layers. The cowhide-leather uppers have a beautiful dark finish. Model-exclusive-orange GORE-TEX® liners provide a striking color contrast, as well as waterproof, breathable protection. There’s a gold 50th anniversary logo on the side of each boot, and a Meindl medal on the tongues with a 1-1,000 production number. They also have 400 grams of warmth-trapping Thinsulate™ Ultra Insulation, cushioning EVA midsoles and Vibram® outsoles. Each pair comes packed in a commemorative wood box with a boot-care kit (sport wax, conditioner/protector, brush, cloth) in a leather bag, a goat-hide wrap around the boots and a certificate of appreciation numbered and signed by Lars and Lukas Meindl. Made in Germany. Men’s sizes: 8-14 D width. Half sizes to 12. Color: Special Dark.
Bought a pair of Meindl Perfekts five years ago. I elk hunt at 9500 feet. This is the best boot I have ever owned and I've owned a lot. I bought the anniversary boots just is case Lars and Lukus were hit by a bus. Good boots are your single most important hunting accessory. Spent your money where you spend your time. On your feet.
I purchased these thinking that they are probably the best boots made by anyone in the world. they are. in my opinion, there is no question that these are the best boots I own. if it matters, I own more than 20 pairs of boots. I suggest that you buy a pair of these before they are all gone.
I've hunted the Rocky Mountains of Montana for over 35 years and have used many pairs of boots. These are undoubtedly some of the best boots I've ever owned. Sock comfortable out of the box, they require very little if any break in period, yet provide the support needed for rough country hunting. Built to last a lifetime if properly cared for. Cabelas would do well to make these a part of their regular lineup.
