Cabela's 11" 800-gram Outfitter Series™ Pro Hunting Boots

  • Waterproof, breathable GORE-TEX membrane
  • SAW technology in midsole
  • Exclusive Vibram outsole
  • 800-gram Thinsulate Ultra Insulation
Since they first hit the pages of our catalog 14 years ago, our Outfitter Series boots have risen to the top of our legendary family of hunting boots to claim their spot as our best-selling hunting boots of all time – a title they still hold today. The Pro Series, our latest evolution of this wildly popular line, still boasts all the rugged dependability you've come to expect from boots that bear the legendary Outfitter name, but are loaded with a slew of updated, comfort-enhancing features that the hunter can appreciate. The updated midsoles incorporate the Shock Absorbing Workboot (SAW) technology, which employs strategically placed impact zones in the forefoot and heel that soak up virtually 100% of ground shock. These boots have GORE-TEX® Scent-Lok® linings that don't need to be reactivated. All you have to do is allow the boots to air out after each use. The uppers are crafted of tough, generously oiled American leather with richly padded Bombardier leather collars. We then extended the lacing system farther out over the toes for even more support and stability. Plus, a Cabela's-exclusive Vibram® outsoles, with an innovative multidirectional tread patterning, grab tough terrain while releasing mud and snow. 800-gram Thinsulate™ Ultra Insulation for cold hunting conditions. Imported.

WOW!
Date:
I have owned multiple styles of Cabela brand boots and the Outfitter Series Pro Hunting Boot far exceeded my expectations. Right out of the box they are comfortable with no break in necessary, in my case. I hunt warm weather, cold weather, steep and flat country and I could not be happier with the 800 gram. Great job as always Cabela's.

Another great Cabela's product
Date:
I have been hunting since I was a toddler and have been through many pairs of boots. This is the second pair of Cabela's brand boots but my first time purchasing the Outfitter Series Pro . These boots fit exceptionally well, right out of the box. No blisters, hot spots or pain in my feet. They were really warm on my 2011 moose hunt but my feet were not too hot during an early season (September) deer hunt. Great traction in mud and snow as well as during an extended alpine hike. I am wearing the exact size boot as I do shoe, even though I always wear a liner and merino wool bleand outer sock.
I did have a problem with one of the boots leaking during a very wet weekend but customer service took care of everthing in short order and my new boots are on the way.

LEAKING BOOT
Date:
This is my second season for these boots. They have limited wear as I have several different pairs of boots that I hunt with depending on conditions.
Within the first month of purchasing an upper eyelet pulled out while lacing, disappointed with quality but could still wear.
Wore boots yesterday during slushy snow conditions and realized the right boot was LEAKING!!!! I checked for obvious punctures and nothing was visible.
I am very disappointed with these boots!!!!
I've owned several pairs of goretex boots and eventually they fail but not in the second season. iIn my experience goretex boots will usually last for 5-7 years.

One Glaring Problem
Date:
I've been eyeballing these boots online forever, waiting until I could fit them into my budget. Although you should never take unproven boots to the field, I do it fairly often.
The boots were at my door when I got in from a long stretch of work and I threw them in the truck and headed up to elk country. My plan was to pack in about 4 miles and rough it for a few days.
These boots had all the selling points: Full leather, Vibram, Gore-tex, Thinsulate, and very good ankle support. But when I hit my first uphill slant, I knew I was in trouble. The boots turned my heels into hamburger. No amount of duct tape or moleskin could prevent it.
I had to return them, and now I'm waiting for my feet to heal so I can try on something else. I should note that this may just be due to the shape of my feet, but I won't buy another pair of tall boots without trying them on first!
