Cabela's 11" 1,200-gram Outfitter Series™ Pro Hunting Boots

  • Waterproof, breathable GORE-TEX membrane
  • SAW technology in midsole
  • Exclusive Vibram outsole
  • 1,200-gram Thinsulate Ultra Insulation
Since they first hit the pages of our catalog 14 years ago, our Outfitter Series boots have risen to the top of our legendary family of hunting boots to claim their spot as our best-selling hunting boots of all time – a title they still hold today. The Pro Series, our latest evolution of this wildly popular line, still boasts all the rugged dependability you've come to expect from boots that bear the legendary Outfitter name, but are loaded with a slew of updated, comfort-enhancing features that the hunter can appreciate. The updated midsoles incorporate the Shock Absorbing Workboot (SAW) technology, which employs strategically placed impact zones in the forefoot and heel that soak up virtually 100% of ground shock. These boots have GORE-TEX® Scent-Lok® linings that don't need to be reactivated. All you have to do is allow the boots to air out after each use. The uppers are crafted of tough, generously oiled American leather with richly padded Bombardier leather collars. We then extended the lacing system farther out over the toes for even more support and stability. Plus, a Cabela's-exclusive Vibram® outsoles, with an innovative multidirectional tread patterning, grab tough terrain while releasing mud and snow. 1,200-gram Thinsulate™ Ultra Insulation for cold hunting conditions. Imported.

Warm and dry!
Date:
Another great Cabela's product. I have owned these boots for 2 years and hunt ducks and geese sitting motionless in the cold.I have poor circulation in my feet and have found these boots to be the best performing of any that I have ever owned, keeping my feet warm and dry. They have also held up very well and still look almost new when cleaned up.

Nice Boots, Cheap Midsole
Date:
Bought the 800 gram Outfitter Pro and exchanged them for the 1200 gram after one day in a tree stand with 30 degree weather.
Wore the new 1200 grams for about 20 hours and 10 miles of hunting. After the first three days, the midsole began to split apart. The midsole appears to be a made in a glue-pressed manufacturing process.
I had a pair of 800 gram "Bruins" and they started splitting bad in the same fashion, but they lasted about 4 seasons before doing it. And when they split, it was the entire length of the inner and outer aspect of the midsole. Otherwise, the Bruins would still be wearable.
same with the Outfitter Pros... They are comfortable. They are quiet. They provide good sensitivity to rocks and sticks beneath my feet when stalking. And the 1200 gram are warm. But I can't keep a boot after 3 days of hunting and the "SAW technology" midsole is already splitting.
I have returned them for a pair of boots that look like the sole and midsole are welded with a solid piece of rubber.
And a side note.. The Outfitter Pros do take several long hikes to break in. At first, I thought the inside lugs were going to be very uncomfortable when I laced em up tight, but by the end of the 3rd hunt they were pretty comfortable .

best boots I have ever had
Date:
Fit like a glove from the moment I put them on. Warm, good traction. Never got cold wet feet even after long treks up and down ridges and then sitting for hours. Probably wouldn't be looking to replace them if my feet hadn't started 'spreading out' late in the day.

GREAT BOOTS
Date:
I bought these boots so I could retire my Cabela's Bruins after 7 yrs of terrific service. I am a short stocky guy with wide feet -- big bulky boots can really be struggle when hiking into stand or dragging out. A bought some EEs a size and a half bigger than my shoe size. These boots fit great out of the box, feel relatively lightweight for their size/insulation, and kept my feet warm. These boots, with liner and medium or heavyweight socks, kept my feet warm straight through late muzzleloader (Dec) and predator seasons (Jan-Feb). Highly recommended.
