Completely Satisfied
Date:
I hunt in western WA, so wet weather is all I ever see. I purchased these boots in the hopes that they would be lightweight, waterproof, flexible, and have great traction. I'm happy to report they are all of the above. I first purchased them in 600 gram thinsulate, I've since exchanged them for 1200 gram just because after 12 or 13 hr's straight in the snow my feet would start to get a little cold. I've tried out many hunting boot's, and I feel anybody looking for the same thing's I was will be totally satisfied with these boot's. By the way if you do experience a defective pair, all you have to do is send them to the manufacturer for an exchange or full reimbursement.

Great Boot
Date:
I received my boots a couple of days ago and have been wearing them everywhere to break them in. The fit is true to size and the workmanship seems to be top notch. The only reason I gave these a 4 star rating is because I haven't had the chance to see how well the 1200 grams of insulation is going to be at keeping my feet warm. Great Boot Cabela's!

Frozen feet every time
Date:
I work outside year round at a ski resort, where I'm constantly around snow and ice sometimes 10 or more hours per day. I've had numerous experiences with various winter boots over the years and figured I'd give these a shot.
I bought these new 3 weeks ago because my others began to leak. I thought this would be a reasonable investment with tough leather, 1,200g of thinsulate and a gore-tex liner. However, my feet(toes) have frozen just about every day I've worn these, mainly when below 25*F, even after a short period of time.
The gore-tex liner works had has kept my feet dry of both water and sweat; however there is nearly no insulation or not enough around the toes, between the inner boot liner and the rubber toe area. My toes have been bone dry, yet frozen almost every time I've used these, even trying 4 different kinds of socks. Most of the insulation feels as if its around the ankle and lower leg area, where it is useless.
After using them outside for a while you can feel cold rubber part of the toe, from inside the boot on the toe liner. Other $50 boots I've used from the big box stores have performed better with much less insulation.
This is a shame, if the insulation placement was better and able to keep your feet warm these boots would be perfect as they are comfortable, seemingly durable, waterproof, as well as having good traction and ankle support .
Bottom line: Avoid these boots, try something else. Don't forget the gore-tex liner if you're outside for long periods.

Warm and Comfortable - A+++++
Date:
I bought a pair of these boots on sale and it was the best thing I did for this year Whitetail season here in central Pa.They kept my feet warm even when I sat in the same stand all day.I put a pair of Cabelas socks on and a light liner sock and that was all I needed.They also gripped the rocks and ridges I hiked very well.I hunt all the time and stay out all day when I don't work.I am picky about my gear and these kept my feet comfortable,dry and warm everytime I went hunting.I see while I am writing this review they are on sale again and I am considering buying another pair to do my daily chores around the house and in my food plots.If you are considering buying these you will not regret it.--Thank you Cabelas for the best pair of boots I own.
