Crafted from 78% merino lamb’s wool, 20% stretch nylon and 2% spandex, these socks won’t itch or irritate your feet. Merino wool is specially shrink-treated to hold its size and shape to ensure lasting performance and reliability. Heavy weight with extra padding and thicker construction for cold-weather conditions. Old fashioned socks

If you recall when sweatshirts were thick, absorbent cotton and lasted for decades, you'll appreciate these socks.
Well made, thicker than the competitors' socks, and well cushioned. The only fault one can attribute to these socks is that they are so thick, one has to have boots a bit oversized to accomodate them.
Worn with Asolo backpacking boots, my feet are warm, dry, and confortable. They are worth the money.
