started good, but ended bad... do not recomend

When I received my boots I was very happy considering I was replacing a pair by this same manufacture with my second Pair. My first pair of Merrells were fantastic, and they lasted 3 years, and that is great, since i am so hard on my shoes.
When I first tried on the Merrell® Waterproof Ridgeline Hikers, they were tight, but that did not botther me, because after the second use they were not so tight and gave me the impression they would break in nice. Oh Boy was I off with that thought..
I am beginning to hate these shoes, every time I try to where them my feet around the heels and ankles begin to hurt, especially after a mile of hiking..
our normal hike is at least 5 miles a day..
I will be contacting Cabellas, to see if i can exchange them, but my fear is that i waited too long, but i am hoping when i tell my story that they too will understand that these boots are defective.
so, my advise is purchase do not purchase this boot, but other Merrell Hikers boots are great..
