These would be okay boots--EXCEPT--the left shoe is cut narrower than the right one is. I kept wondering why my left pinky toe was feeling smashed while walking. I took a good look from directly above and could see that the left boot is cut narrower than the right one is. I have found a workaround by wearing the absolute thinnest socks that I own (bicycling socks) while wearing these. They're still a bit stiff around the ankles, even after wearing them to work multiple times for breaking in and a couple of 5-mile hikes. No water leakage on damp ground, but haven't really stuck them into running water. Mesh is somewhat different than that pictured.

good but not for long!

great boots at first then after about three months later
things start falling apart like the sole falling off...and I just use them on weekends! can you believe THAT...
and I still rate them 2 stars because the shoes felt good!
