A Great Hiking Boot
Date:
I waited until I had a few hikes with these boots before I wrote my review. I absolutely have no complaints about these boots. Fit is good, and they are ready to go right out of the box. Just finished a 9 mile hike in the snow this morning and the boots did extremely well in keeping my feet dry. The boot is very comfortable and the quality is strong. I did not own the previous model that some are raving about, but i do know that these boots have done just as well, if not better than boots I have previously owned (and I am not easy on my boots when I hike). I highly recommend these boots!

I have narrow feet
Date:
I read all the reviews about how narrow these were so I gave them a try. They fit me very well but there's definitely no extra room in them. My feet don't hurt after longish hikes and\\ they keep me dry also. So far so good and definitely worth the sale price.

Wide width did not fit well
Date:
I ordered these in the wide width in a 10, then sent them back and got a 10.5 and took them hunting. A year later here are my thoughts.
These run very narrow in the toe. After repeated wettings and long hikes I have given up on them ever fitting in the toes. OK in the ball of the foot and elsewhere. They sit on the shelf and I am looking for new boots.
They are not breathable at all. The panels on the side that could have had air exchange are blocked off with a pad. They make my feet sweat as much as my full leather Redwings.
On the plus side, they have excellent traction, and were fairly water proof after a coat of camp dry spray. As other reviewers have stated, I really miss the old non-Goretex trail lites from 10 years ago. Very hard for me to find a supportive, light, breathable boot in a wide width.

Poor quality
Date:
I had the old style of trail lites, and they lasted me for five years. They were very comfortable and durable. I purchased the new style about a year ago and they are already worn out. The seams ripped open and they are separating from the soles. Cabelas should have kept the old style around!
