Essential layer

Have used this type of jacket fishing, backpacking and
around the house. It is a great durable insulating layer.
The double thick neck band really helps. If used with a Gortex layer on top the warmth is really sealed in but, still allowing for venting with the full zip when necessary.
It would get 5 stars if it had zip pockets. I trust the zip pockets for essential gear like wallet keys etc.
Overall a great value and very versatile piece of gear.

Cabela's Polartec Classic 200 was one of my best purchases ever! The jacket is perfect for layering or even just a light wind jacket. I could not be more pleased with its construction and will be looking for a vest just like it.
