excellent light pack
Date:
great pack. very well made.
it's perfect for the small day trips out to the local fishing holes.
best part is, if it's hot outside you dont overheat from having to much gear or a bulky vest on.
if going on extended trips i just put on a small back pack and wear this on my hip.

Okay, but not great
Date:
I've used this pack for two years now in an attempt to give up my vest. There are some nice things about it: It carries 2-3 fly boxes, and allows me to organize my various tools and extras quite nicely. The drop down fly bench is a nice idea, and I found that I sometimes liked it better than putting flies on my drying patch, esp. if I wanted quick access to a few selected flies (however, the flies do get wet). And it looks good.
My problem with the pack applies to other packs also. It sits a little low, and frequently gets partially submerged. It's not waterproof, so everything inside gets wet (BTW, grommets on the bottom to allow water to drain might be a good idea).I like it as a fanny pack when I'm fishing, but I need to slide it around to access it when I need it...sometimes that can a bit cumbersome. And there's no longer a convenient place to keep my net. Yes, there is a neck strap, but then this becomes a chest pack, and a rather bulky one at that.
My friend uses it as a sling pack, and seems to like it. For myself, I've decided to give it up. I'm either going more spartan on small creeks, or I'm taking a vest or backpack.

Excellent all around chest pack
Date:
Bought this pack last November before going on a 4-day Steelhead trip to Northeast PA. It was a lifesaver. Held all of my supplies and flies very well. Very comfortable. Can be worn on the hip, on the chest, or over the shoulder. I recently went on a 3-day Carp fishing trip and stuffed all my carp rigging and fly fishing gear into it. It can hold a lot of gear. I also use it all the time for fly fishing the rivers, streams, and lakes around Central Ohio where I live. I plan on buying two more for my sons later this year for their birthdays. Great product.
