This hat keeps the sun out of my eyes or the rain off of my head, very light weight and breathable. The chin strap can be used to keep it in place on windy days.

Had the chance to use this gore tex waterproof hat on a rainy day here on the east coast. I used it while taking the dog out a walk, taking the trash out etc...
It wasn't a heavy downpour but a steady drizzle and by far the hat kept me dry. :)

Boonie Goretex Rain Hat

The hat's well constructed, and is definitely rain proof, since I live in the Great Northwest, where we have the Washington Rain Festival (365 days of the year). I highly recommend this economical, and well built hat for anyone.
