X300 Gore-tex Parka XL
Date:
This parka is heavy and long. Put a sweatshirt under it and it will be fine for snowblowing the drive. It will also be great for fall and spring breakwall fishing espeically if the waves kick up.
For most summeriime fishing I think it will be too heavy/warm although It will be good for those Ontario trip to Parry Sound. Luckily I got a PacLite Rainy River parka for the hot summer storms.
I needed the XL Bibs but I could have gotten but with a large size parka. I'm 5'11" 210 for a point of reference. The XL is big but with a heavy sweatshirt it fits fine, The bibs fit fine over my jeans. Love all the pockets in the parka. It's very well made.
Great buy at the sale price.

EXTREME WEATHER! HI-TECH!
Date:
This is the 3rd or 4th gore-tex rain wear I have bought from CABELAS over the decades. ALL were outstanding and rugged and long lasting. This is an exceptional buy. As with all high tech raingear, some over-engineering is built into the product which takes some getting use to, ie: lots of velcro and a heavier outer shell.
I love it!

Great Jacket, Bad Zipper
Date:
The jacket is crazy good for snow and rain. For 5 years everything was great EXCEPT the zipper pin. The zipper pin (the part you slide into the box) split effectively rendering the jacket useless since you cannot zip it up any longer.
The jacket is in PERFECT shape so it annoys me to no end that I cannot use this jacket any longer. The Gore Tex is amazing. I can walk around in torrential downpours walking my merry way while everyone else is scrambling.
Cabela's - Please enhance/reinforce your zipper pin and you will have created a jacket that can last forever.

Great Suit!
Date:
I bought this suit wanting something that I could fish on the nasty wet days when most fishermen stay home.
Extremly happy with it as I used in some pretty nasty weather this past Monday and it kept me dry and warm and its comfortable to fish in all day.
Buy it...you won't be disappointed.
