The wind rips right through the fleece layer and robs your warmth, chilling the paper thin inner windshear material. The free hanging (and paper thin) Windshear material gets sucked into your mouth with nearly every deep breath, making breating difficult at times.
I have had to punch holes through it (the mask) to re-route the drawcords, wearing it inside-out to put the insulating fleece, and windblocking layers where they belong, it is now at least 10x warmer this way. You will lose the camo pattern, but I suppose one can get some fabric markers at the hobby store and make your own camo pattern, but at least its now warm, and I can now breathe.
There are better products out there, trouble is, they don't come in camo patterns, and are difficult to find. The only reason I gave the Cabelas product one star, is that it's only marginally better than nothing (as designed). And, I do like the little wire at the bridge of the nose for holding its shape in that area.
