Seemed like it would be a great jacket, but the large tall had great sleeve length and good body length but the chest was 58" around. The medium tall was great around the torso at about 50" or so, but the sleeves were too short and the body was too short.
I liked the fact that it had a separate inner lining, and no velcro, anywhere, just elastic sleeve cuffs.

warm coat at a good price

I was looking for an affordable down insert for my Columbia parka and the Static Peak 650 fit the bill. Warn alone, this jacket is warm and comfy from the low teens through the twenties. Zipping it into the parka offers better wind and water protection and will extend the temperature range. The quality and durability seem to be very good for the price. There are four zippered pockets (two handwarmers, outside chest, and inside chest) and a draw cord around the hem. The one negative is that openings for all the pockets are just a little too small. It feels like I\u2019m pushing the limit to the opening every time I reach into a pocket. Other than that, I have been very happy with the quality and comfort.
