I live in the 5th snowiest city in the US. When the weather is knarley...this is the hat I go for, and it never fails. Worth every penny. No matter how cold it is my head sweats. If your even considering it.....buy it. You wont be disappointed.

Still the warmest hat out there

I have a cloth version that that is coming up on 15? years. It has a few holes from briars and such so I decided to treat myself to the leather version. No surprise, this is even warmer than the cloth which is saying a lot. When the weather is really cold(I mean Montana winter cold) this is the only hat I reach for. I have been on the tractor snowthowing for hours in wind and snow and my head always stays warm in this. Makes me want to grab some goggles and take the windscreen off of my airplane.
